4)  Database & Developer Digest Blog
Check out the Database & Developer Digest Blog by Adrian Bridgwater at<>.  One of his latest blogs is entitled “SAP hopes to simplify Mobile Analytics With One App for All Analytic Experiences”. “SAP has announced the latest release of the SAP® BusinessObjects™ Mobile app.
Now available on the iTunes store, the mobile app brings together multiple business intelligence (BI) and analytic applications from SAP into a single app, offering customers the flexibility and freedom to do business better on-the-go. The new 5.0 release puts the power of mobile analytics from SAP in one place, enabling users to easily interact with reports and dashboards and enjoy self-service discovery and exploration.

As organizations shift from a predominantly PC-based workforce to mobile, they cannot afford to have employees disconnected from the enterprise when critical decisions need to be made. When information is difficult to access outside the office or not available in real time, organizations are forced to answer business questions with old data or none at all. The new release of SAP BusinessObjects Mobile, built on SAP® Mobile Platform, now enables users to collaborate using the SAP® Jam social software platform, do voice command as a form of annotation and ask any question and get answers with “Exploration Views” on their iOS device. …” Learn more at<>.

6)  ISUG-TECH Announces Special Member Benefit for Gold Members
ISUG-TECH is pleased to announce that we have secured a limited number of special “lecture only” passes for this year’s SAP TechEd conference in Las Vegas in October from October 21-25.
These passes are available only to ISUG-TECH Gold Members, and enable the pass holder to attend all keynotes, lecture sessions and special events at the conference, along with access to the exhibit hall and clubhouse. (Holders of the pass will not be able to register for or attend any hands-on workshops.)

These special passes cost only $1695 (compared to $2795 for the full conference pass), and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of available passes is limited, so do not wait until the last minute to register – you may be too late!
Registration instructions are available on the member benefits page for Gold members. Do not share these instructions with other people. Every registration will be verified for ISUG-TECH Gold membership. Registrations from people that are not Gold members are subject to cancellation by SAP.

We worked hard to get this special pass for our Gold members in order to make the cost of attending the conference more in line with the old Sybase TechWave events upto 2008. We felt that sacrificing the hands-on workshops was well worth the ability for more former Sybase customers to be able to participate in a conference that is larger than any Sybase conference ever was.
If you are a Gold member, please make the extra effort to get to TechEd this year.  If you are not a Gold member, you will need to upgrade to Gold membership prior to registering for the conference. You can do this at
